Glamming Up Your Furniture With Nailheads
While thumbing through an old issue of House Beautiful, I came across the "Everywhere We Look" feature on nailheads. According to House Beautiful, "nailheads are furniture's new jewelry". After looking at these photos I must say, I agree!

Decorated with aged nailheads, this is the Florence Chair by Shine Home, $1,125. Look at the rich color and design on this chair.

This is a side table decorated with shiny "embroidered" belt of metal studs. It's called the Istanbul Side Table also by Shine Home, $910

Next, is the Albemarle Dining Chair by Barry Dixon Collection for Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth, $2,725. Take a look at this chair's back. This is an updated version of a popular chair made in the 40's and 50's.

What a beautiful cabinet! Visconti Large Cabinet, $2,250 by Bungalow5

You can even have a stylish wastebasket! Not only are the nailheads decorative but it's also used to protect the edges from wear and tear. Brown "Crocodile" Nailhead Wastebasket, $97 Dransfield & Ross

This Safari Mirror is covered in brown leather with antique brass nail head trim. $2,169. Ralph Lauren Home

As you can see, when decorating with nailheads the possibilities are endless. Best of all, it's easy to do. All you need is a magnetic nylon tip hammer (the nylon tip prevents damage to the decorative nailhead), decorative nailheads of your choice, and a nail spacer (helps to space nailheads neatly and evenly). To save time, consider using nailhead trim strips instead of individual nailheads.

I LOVE Wallpaper
Looking through various magazines and websites, I must say I am really starting to LOVE wallpaper. It adds visual interest and texture to a wall. Also, there are so many ways you can use wallpaper i.e. as wall art, wall border, a mat in a picture frame, even a liner on kitchen cabinets and drawers. Check out a few of my favorite wallpaper designs from Graham and Brown:

This is by a London-based designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen. Look at the richness of this red. I love how it's paired with cream. Very elegant.

Here is my favorite black and white again! LOL! This is by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. I've always been a fan of damask. I like the use of the white background on one wall and the black background on the adjacent wall and look how the red pops out!

Also a Marcel Wanders' design. I love the bold color.

Graham and Brown also offers eco-friendly wallpaper designs.

The wallpaper is 100% FSC and the patterns are printed using ink that contains no VOCs.

Here are a couple of my favorites from Osborne and Little. They are so exotic!

What creative ways have you used wallpaper??
